7 Healthy Foods Considered, But Not Necessarily Healthy
Each of us always strive to eat more nutritious foods, not just to lose or maintain weight, but to make sure we get everything we need for healthy and happy. We eat five servings of fruits and vegetables every day, try adding whole grains into our diet, and study the nutrition label in the packaging ... But there are some foods that are spared from the scrutiny because we thought the food was included 'healthy food'. However, some of which are not healthy! Here are 7 foods that we think is healthy but really are not.
1. Chicken soup
We've all heard of, even perhaps have experienced healing and restorative power of chicken soup, which can treat colds and flu as well as general malaise. But did you know that soup is rich in sodium content, and also high in fat? Before you buy canned soups, check the nutrition label and you do not buy if not included in the nutritional content of your qualifications. Unless you make it yourself, or buy canned soups containing low sodium is a 'healthy choice'.
2. Bottled juice and tea Botoh
You may think that fruit juice and iced tea will be a better choice than soda, but did you know that most of the juice and bottled teas contain sugar very much, and few contain the original juice or tea? Again, check the ingredient label to see what is actually contained in the juice or tea before you buy. If it contains high fructose corn syrup or sugar content of more than 12 grams, you better skip the product ... and take a bottle of pure water or juice instead.
3. Sandwich
I am very fond of sandwiches, especially the sandwich made of bread and rolls form. But did you know that this food is not always a healthy choice? Lots of meat in fat and sodium, and tuna or chicken salad can be made using mayonnaise which is much more than they should. Check the nutritional information on sandwiches and ingredients from the restaurant, and choose low-fat mayonnaise (if any) or a material with a few extra vegetables are low in fat.
4. Salad
Of course, fruits and vegetables that are part of a fantastic salad is a healthy choice, but so much salad that is added to the junk food ... such as croutons, bacon bits, fried breaded chicken, and cheese as well as additional fattening (but delicious).
5. Smoothies (fruit and ice in a blender, usually added to milk)
The same logic to the fruit juice used in these foods - smoothies should be good for you with all the vitamins and antioxidants that you desire, but for some reason, the smoothies are made for commercial usually has a very low quality.Smoothies have made fructose corn syrup (sugar) is high and very low in the original juice and yogurt. Smoothies can also be made to fatten ... such as strawberry banana smoothie only a portion of which is made by a fast food restaurant can contain 330 calories and 77 carbs (of which 70 of which are sugars). Gosh! If you really want a smoothie, use low-fat yogurt and fresh fruit smoothie for a delicious, full of nutritional ingredients from home.
6. YogurtKaum women take calcium and vitamin D, so many of them will add to the yogurt in their lunch boxes. But did you ever peek at the nutrition label on the back of the packaging? Yogurt can be just as unhealthy junk food with others, which are loaded with sugars, fats and many others. Choose yogurt that contains very little fat and sugar as little as possible. There are hundreds of flavors of the dozens of brands, so experiment a bit to get the most healthful choices while finding the most suitable flavor with you.
7. Granola Bars
I often include granola bars into my daughter's bag as a snack during the day at school, until I get bored and one day I went to the cashier and check the nutritional information. I was very surprised - even without a grain of chocolate granola bar really high in fat and sugar, almost as many candy bars! Currently I only chose a fresh granola bars with a version of 'low sugar', and it only occasionally as a gift.
The seven foods are only a handful of foods that we think are healthy but often when you look closely, there is not so! Very surprising is not it? Which of the delicious food that has been cheating on you? Or maybe there is another type of 'healthy foods' other you know it was not as healthy as you think.
