Failed to Open Phone Android, Google FBI Ask for Help
The FBI seized the branch of San Diego first Samsung Android phones areallegedly owned by Dante Dears. Dante is the founder of a gang calledHeroes Leads Daily. He was out of jail and back caught a case.
FBI agents confiscated cell phones allegedly belonging to Dante. FBIcomputer forensics unit were several attempts to open an unlocked Android phone with the lock pattern, the form of circles that have a certain pattern to open it.
Dante denies that is his phone so he did not want to open it. FBI seeks to dismantle criminal case in which he allegedly trade in women for prostitution.
FBI efforts to dismantle the phone many times even make the phone can not be opened at all. Google was asked to disclose all the information on the mobile phone as an account login and password.
Google did not explain in detail what assistance they gave to the FBI. Quotedfrom PCMag, Thursday (3/15/2012), the Internet giant is only promised to help authorities if requested.
"Like all companies that obey the law, we comply with valid legal process.Whenever we receive a request, we make sure the request meets the spirit ofthe law prior to oblige," says Google.
