Android is an operating system that is used in smartphones and tablet PCs. Functions the same as in the Nokia Symbian operating system, IOS on Apple and the BlackBerry OS.
Android is not tied to just one brand of mobile phones, some of which already have well-known vendors such as Samsung Android, Sony Ericsson, HTC, Nexus, Motorola, andothers.
Android was first developed by a company called Android Inc.., And in 2005 theacquisition by Internet giant Google. Android is made on the basis of a modified Linuxkernel, and for each release its code-named by the name of the food dish.
The main advantage of Android is free and open source, which makes Androidsmartphones sold cheaper than the Blackberry or iPhone even though the features(hardware) has to offer Android better.
